Challenge #1: The Broken Foot
I've got this one under control. I wear my little boot when I need to and I even found a pair of sandals that have the same height so I no longer limp. Also, I'm really enjoying all the cycling I've been doing. I'll have to post pictures at some point from the trail that I take; it's very wooded and peaceful. When I can't get out on the bike (rain, kids, night, etc.), I drag myself onto the living room floor and do push-ups, crunches, and pilates moves. (Yes, I said "drag." I'd way rather snuggle!)

Challenge #2: Dairy-free, Egg-free, Beef-free
What??? No, it's not me. But this is the latest theory in my husband's medical mystery. His naturopath ran an allergy panel, and his reactions to all things dairy, egg, and beef were sky-high! We immediately cut out all three, which presents a fun cooking challenge. I'll be experimenting with recipes and posting the good ones. Today I made pancakes, and they were actually good! This challenge is tricky, but it's worth it to keep DH around as long as we can.

Challenge #3: 5% Challenge
FINALLY, I had a great weigh-in this morning: I've lost three pounds out of the seven pounds that I committed to losing. This gives me new motivation to crack down, eat tons of salads, and keep getting those fitness minutes. In fact, I'm really going to push to hit 1000 minutes this month -- I'm at 688 right now.

We can do it, Sparkers!!

    Great job! Wow - maybe the naturopath is on the right track! Keep us posted! I'm very close to cutting out all wheat in my diet for good. We'll see how this goes. :)
