I had a massive stroke and had the drug and it helped me even though the stroke was a massive one. the doctors were very impressed with my recovery. I did have 3 grand mal seizures after my stroke which caused a set back in my progress but I am still alive and doing well. hanks for the article, People need to get to the hospital ASAP after they believe they might have had a stroke.

Thanks. My husband had a cerebral bleed and he is recovering well from it. Then we found out he had small cell lung cancer. the doctors are perplexed because it diagnose as small cell but is not acting like it. We know God is healing him and we are expecting complete healing in Jesus name.

Great information - Nell - thank you very much for adding that last bit of information too. I think both the article and your information should be on EACH of our bulletin boards.

Excellent information. We all need to be reminded of this. Have a friend (a healthy fit man in his 40s) who is fine today because of immediate action when he had his shocking stroke!

emoticon for the great reminder

Great article. I had a mild stroke in June of this year. The fast action of my coworkers, my doctor, the emergency room & the local hospital probably saved my life or at least prevented lasting disabilities. From my experience there is very little warning and they happen fast. emoticon for sharing this article.

Thanks for this reminder. My husband occasionally has symptoms which should be checked out at the ER and last time he refused to go to the ER. If this happens again, I can just call 911 if he is not cooperative since he has moderate dementia and Alzheimer's. My counselor reminds me that I am the adult and should make these decisions for him now. emoticon

This is the kind of strokes my hubby had. Problem is you have to be exact in time. I found him on the floor and couldn't be absolutely sure when it happened. The neurologist told me that if it's longer than 4 hours the drugs do more harm than good. He has had three strokes, but I can't be with him every minute to know the exact time.
