My training plan is set so I need to determine a plan of eating. My goal is to continue to maintain within 5 pounds of my current weight. My strategy is to eat 1/2 portions of the food I am served. I am not going to restrict my eating on my trip. I am going to enjoy the local food but in moderation. I am going to make wise (not perfect) choices and eat normal (not restaurant) portions of food. I will find as many fruits and vegetables (without butter) as possible. I will drink lots of water. I will probably share a few desserts with DH. (Who could resist gelato in Rome or Pizza in Naples for that matter) I will have a few staples in my bag so I have recourse if there just aren't any reasonable choices.
With all the walking and my planned running, I hope to have a sane and enjoyable holiday without a large gain.
