So we checked him out without a problem and the ambulance for transportation showed up on time at 2pm. I rode in the ambulance with him the hour long ride to his house. We got him settled in his own bed. The nurses showed up on time as well and I gave them the instructions and they took my FIL's catheter out. These are the nurses that took good care of me at my home when I had to be on the IV. So my father in law is not allowed to move at all. He is only allowed to sit up 30 degrees so not much. He will also be using diapers as he will not be able to visit the bathroom. But his attitude is fantastic. He knows it's going to be a long two weeks and hard to just lay there but knows it is temporary. He loves the nurses and couldn't say enough about all the wonderful care at the hospital, the ambulance and now the home care nurses. He will have two doctors looking in on him. The surgeon will go to his house today at 5pm and my husband and I will be at that meeting as well. So far he is in no pain. He has drops for pain that also will make him sleep. I am hoping he had a good night last night in his own bed. After I walk the dogs we will go check in on him.
I hope all of you are doing well. I was surprised this morning to be up 1.5 pounds to 108 from 106.5. It was most likely too much sugar in the jelly I had on my almond butter sandwich yesterday. I also ate 4 lifesavers that had sugar. I think sugar can really bloat you. The good news is that I am feeling good throughout all this stress with FIL and DH not liking Mexico anymore and wanting to move. So taking it one day at a time and will at least be able to eat right now that we are not having to drive to Guadalajara everyday.
Have a wonderful day.
