Surgery or Not?

Thursday, August 22, 2013

Well seen the doctor and suggested the surgery since PT or a shot would only be a short term fix doing no good later. I am in a quarry do or not? I could handle it & love to be out of pain but over 6 months of recovery I'm not so sure. Have to call Medicare tomorrow to see if they cover the cost, 6,000 dollars is a ballpark start! who knows what else is including after it and PT. Exercise is allowed later like walking, swim no running or probably Zumba!

Think it all through. Make sure you have full coverage. Line up everything you'll need and get as many questions answered as you can. Then the decision is really up to YOU!

Good Luck!

The final choice is up to you. My husband and I had physical therapy for minor problems. We talked with patients who spent years in pain because they were afraid of surgery or didn't want to take time off work for recovery. After surgery and toward the end of physical therapy they felt so much better and were sorry they waited so long.
