First I want to thank the encouragement I received from my Spark friends on my previous blog.
I did a lot of soul searching and thinking over the past 24 hours.
Question: What do I want? to be healthy and have my diabetes under control; to be around to see my grandchildren grow up.
Okay, nowhere did I think of weight loss in that answer. That is secondary to me right now. So my plan is:
1) eat enough to have my after meal blood sugars where my doctor wants them, between 130 to 140; which is higher than I am used to before starting insulin. have to rethink that number. I am used to 80 to 100 before needing insulin.
2) go to water aerobics three times a week at the gym
3) do yoga on my wii three times a week for at least 30 minutes each time
I am going to reset my weight tracker. I will only weigh in once a month. This means I will leave a challenge team, but I need to refocus myself and I can't focus on weight right now.
