7 great things that happened to me in the past year!

Thursday, August 22, 2013

In reading the Chris Powell Book "Choose More, Lose, More for Life" he talks about transformation! True transformation. Understand that we need to love our selves. One of his exercises in the book is to list 7 great things that happened in the last past year to me. Here is my list:

1. started my journey to transformation!
2. Trained for a 5k. Participated in 2! (ran 28 mins! Not the entire 5k, but without stopping!)
3. Celebrated my 4 year wedding anniversary
4. Completed a major work project ahead of schedule
5. Visited my In-laws in Fl (small side trip to Key West)
6. Grown closer with my family
7. Lost 20 pounds!

Now, these may not seem like great things to many people, but they are my great things and they help me to see how blessed I really am!

I should clarify, I ran 28 mins, but it took 41 mins to finish the 5k. This is a major accomplishment, because my ACL was replaced 2 yrs ago and I was only cleared to run in the last year. No pain in my knee at all from running!
