Coffee cutback - Day 2

What did we learn from Coffee Cutback so far? That 1 cup of coffee and a cup of tea isn't going to work. I did have to pick one up at lunch time. I grabbed one to take with me to work and I will make that last the rest of the day. Hot coffee, warm coffee, room temperature coffee, cold coffee, or iced coffee - it's all good to me.

I don't have any trouble falling asleep when I drink tons of coffee. It's true that I don't get near enough sleep, but that has nothing to do with the coffee. It's more that there aren't enough hours in the day, so I squeeze every drop I can out of them before I call it a night. In reality, it's more like I'm waiting for the dryer to be done so I can get my clothes ready for the next day or something equally entertaining. Don't want you all thinking I live life to the fullest right up until the moment I pass out. emoticon

So sometime in the next couple of weeks, I'll get a new coffee maker. I think I will still make an effort to cutback a smidge just because, so I will look for a smaller coffee maker (rather than replacing the dead one with anotehr 12 cup coffee maker).

    I love your last two blogs! Ask me to give up my coffee and you may just as well put me 6' under!! I will give up almost anything else, but I will not give up my coffee!! I still drank it hot even in July during those 90+ degree days emoticon I think we are all entitled to at least one vise!!

    Hang in there! I drink a lot of caffeine and sleep like a the whole caffeine will keep you from sleeping theory is lost on me. Oh well...different strokes for different folks.     Ah, my husband and I are planning to try for a baby soon. I'm not looking forward to cutting back on my caffeine... especially my coffee! emoticon

    How brave you are. I am also an addict and due to a Biggest Loser challenge at work am considering cutting out my Tim Horton's double double that I have every day that I work. Not sure how that will go down. I'm really not so concerned about the coffee but the double cream and double sugar that I have in it. Good luck with your challenge.

    I too love my coffee but caffeine does bother me so I only allow myself two cups at the most each day. If I weren't bothered, I'd drink coffee all day long.

    I'm impressed that you had to break down and buy coffee on your first day without. I'd have gone and bought a whole coffeemaker. emoticon
