Vacation Blog with Pics

Wednesday, August 21, 2013

We had a wonderful vacation at Winter Island Park (campground) in Salem, Massachusetts. We were there for 6 days and 5 nights. I did not eat properly because it was vacation. I've gained a bit of weight, that I'm now trying to lose. I want to get back to my pre-vacation weight soon. Last year I lost weight while on vacation, but not this year. Even with all the swimming, walking, and hiking.

Here are the pics:

This was a pic of one of our many campfires. We sit in front of it and behind the campfire, you can see the ocean. It was beautiful!

This is the lighthouse at Derby Warf. We had someone take a pic of the both of us in front of it. Here are those:

This is the gazebo that we spent a lot of time at. There is a "gang" of older people that hang out there. We met them there last year. We had a lot of fun with them. Maybe next year I'll try to sneak a pic with all of them under it.

This is one of my hubby, Mike, at our campsite. In this pic, you can see how we have it set up. The big blue tarp is over our canopy and tent. It kept us dry during the rain and our clothes from smelling like wet mildew. It may look funny, but we got a lot of compliments on it. It was all Mike's doing. Well, I helped, but he had the vision.

This is Mike standing behind one of those cardboard cut outs.

We went into this Nightmare Gallery museum and enjoyed ourselves. We weren't allowed to take any pics, unfortunately. They had all the creatures from numerous scary movies, like Halloween, Scary Movie, Nightmare on Elm Street, etc.

I hope you all enjoy my vacation photos. I will have another blog coming soon with other updates I want to share with all of you.
