In NZ it is considered Bad Form to be a skite. But I'm anonymous here, so what the hey...
One of my goals is to increase fitness, strength, and flexibility, and lose fat.
Yesterday my Zumba Goddess changed our class stretching routine, and we did two new stretches. One was straight legs apart , hands on legs, body parallel to the floor, it's a yoga pose I think. Sparkies, I could not get a stretch out of it. I had to drop my head to the floor (hair touching the floor) to give my hamstrings anything.
(Please note, my stomach was not an obstacle to this).
The other was legs apart, turn to one side body paralell to the ground, looking at one hand in the air and the other in line straight down to your foot. Had to put my foot hand flat on the floor to get a stretch going!
I still struggle with the balance on one leg stretches, because of my unfortunate knees, and an old ankle sprain. But I rocked those two stretches!

Later... sorry, should have thought translation might be required:
A skite is a show-off or boastful person. Modesty and humility are much valued character traits in New Zealand.

Interesting how "skite" changed in NZ parlance from what I remember in Scotland. As a noun, you could replace the k with an h and clearly understand what it meant. As a verb, it meant moving rapidly and maybe not very predictably--maybe it's the root of the current verb "scoot". I love it when words travel. emoticon

You can be a skite anytime for us USA Sparkers emoticon
As a matter of fact, even at my "inertial state" I am unusually flexible so loose some benefit from those kinds of stretches.

What is a skite and why is it in bad form?

If it has to do with stretching - sounds good to me!

That don't make you a bad girl!

Congratulations on your flexibility.

FWIW, my sister just made a lasagne with "voodles". She used a giant zucchini.
