Yesterday was a weird day for me. I'm not sure how to even explain it. Monday evening the boys were out playing in the apartment complex, riding their bikes. I go out and check on them or watch them out the front window to make sure they are where they're supposed to be. I get a phone call from my neighbor, who happens to be the Assistant Manager of the complex, asking if I'm home. Well...yeah. She informs me that my two youngest boys are on the other side of the complex, past the trees and out by the highway! Needless to say I was livid! I think I was on an adrenaline high the whole night and into Tuesday!
I couldn't sit down yesterday! I came into work and cleaned, taking all the mats out to spray off, washing windows, dusting, swept and mopped the halls, anything to keep my mind occupied. I came home and immediately started cleaning. I got most of the dishes done, the laundry folded, the living room cleaned. Then we had to go to meet the teacher night for my 6th grader. Came home, made dinner, cleaned some more, sat down to watch a movie with the hubby after getting the kids to bed. Today I woke up sore and drained! Every muscle in my body hurts!
Tyler has football practice tonight. Which means I'll be meeting one of the boy's mom there to walk the track. So maybe this is a good jumpstart that I needed. But I never want to go through that scare again!
The boys are ok. They thought our rabbit got out and went looking for him (supposedly). They found a path in the woods and followed it to the other side and then got lost after walking down the highway a little ways. They were a little scared and now they are grounded for a while, but everyone is ok and that's what matters.
