Trying Something New

On Wednesdays, I almost always go to PiYo, which is a tough yoga/pilates workout. The class is great, but the instructor is ... not so great. Most instructors are amazingly professional -- they really know their stuff. This instructor, as much as I like the class, never seems to remember the routines, calls out the wrong moves all the time, and generally does not have the same professionalism as the others. PiYo is only offered at my gym one night a week, so I don't have the option of taking it with another instructor.

All that to say, today I'm not going to go to PiYo. There's a class called Sports Conditioning held at the same time, and it's the one class at the gym that I haven't taken yet that is interesting to me. It's sort of like gym class, I think. Or maybe boot camp. There are obstacles (steps at different heights) and you have to run and whatnot.

I've been afraid to take it because the class seems to be filled with jocks. And I have always been a nerd, never cool. But tonight I'm going to take it!

    I'm just so impressed you go to classes! I'm such a lone-dog when it comes to my athletic pursuits. I love to hike, kayak, bike, jog, anything that is by myself. I really don't like classes but probably miss out on great workouts. Go you!
