I took a picture to prove it wasn't a dream!

Please forgive my 3 painted toes.

When I started this journey December 3, 2011, my highest weight ever saved on my scale was 274.8. 275 pounds!

SparkPeople has given me so much knowledge on how to eat, what to eat, how to exercise and most importantly how to give and receive report from absolute strangers and now friends.

My lowest weight ever on SP until now was 182.8 which I saw last November. Today I saw 182.6! When my Grandma died this December, I stopped tracking for a while, didn't exercise as much and just stopped focusing so much on the scale, but my weight slowly crept back up to 198.8. Terrified of seeing 200 again, I decided to really recommit after numerous times talking about it in July and have lost 16.2 pounds in just 6 and a half weeks.

This really proves to me how important mindset is on this journey. I knew that I couldn't let my old ways take over again, and really buckled down.

And I'm on my way into the 170s because of it! I'm hoping to find my peace and happiness somewhere between 140-160.

I'm getting so close, and so much of it is thanks to you SparkFriends.

I don't know how I'd do this without you.
