Update on Weight-Related Goals

How did I do on vacation? This is what I want, of course!
But seriously...my pattern is to do pretty well in the beginning and then just have a total meltdown toward the end. In May-June, when we were gone 8 weeks I ended up gaining 8 pounds, most of which was gained in June. (It's never the exercise component, it's what goes in my mouth that's the problem.) I kept my goal of only eating out one time (and as usual, the restaurant did not live up to its hype). We did buy more alcohol than I planned on, but I found that at the higher altitude it really raised my blood pressure, so I left it alone after that.
We were only gone two weeks this time, and it was an active vacation, but ((drumroll, please)) I am down 2 pounds!!!
Only one pound higher than my lowest EVER weight since I started Spark 4 years ago!!!! I'm doing the happy dance, and even though we are leaving tomorrow for a week in Michigan, I'm excited to have the opportunity to practice my good eating/exercise skills out of town. This has always been a HUGE stumbling block.
Well, I must go now, TC is dressed and ready to head into town for some miles on our city trail before we get our day started.
