For An Awful Person

Tuesday, August 20, 2013

So, I mentioned there is this one person that I hate. I've tried not to hate her, but every time I get close, she goes and does something rude and immature and cruel to people I love.

It's sad when someone can't act like a civilized grown up woman.

Still, I've been working on this meditation business and I realize that we're all made of the same stuff. So, I've got to find a way to channel this hatred and, if at all possible, transform it to positive energy and feelings.

So, I've established the following creative outlet for all these negative feelings I have for this person:

LOVE the video! Sorry you have to deal with this person. Sounds like you are trying to find a way to deal with them in a positive way though! Good luck!

I firmly believe that people come into our lives for a reason! Sometimes those reasons are negative, painful, stir emotions that we are not comfortable with and also make us look at ourselves reacting to them. This person has no power over you. They do not define you and they do not deserve your time and attention beyond what is the absolute minimum that is required of you. I think your meditation recently has really got you focused on you, and what you feel really matters in your life. You are rockin' it girl! This person is just a speck in a whole new world you are exploring. peace my friend!

People like that are hard not to hate. Positive outlooks and behavior helps me.

Alas, there are people in our lives who don't bring anything good to the table. My list of those people is, thankfully, microscopically short. There is a former coworker who absolutely sets off my internal warning system. I have stopped going to my Toastmaster club because his presence is so toxic to my well-being!

I use to work with couple of people like that, many years ago, but I eventually won, and outlasted them all !!

Hang in there, not let that negative person get you down ~~ you know you are better than that. You do need to distance yourself from all that negativity !!

    Hi Leah; emoticon emoticon

So sorry you have this difficult person in your life to deal with, I find in my own life when people like this have to be in my life for whatever the reason, the more I try to push them away, the more of them I seem to get. So I've found I learn the most from these difficult people by just enduring & trying to get through the situation.

Now when I clicked on the link, I saw a Rick Astley video, I watched the entire video, he was one of my daughters favorite singers growing up, so thank you my dear friend for giving me a few moments of happy cherished memories with my daughter that I still miss each & every day. I remember her dancing & singing into her hair brush fun things, ahhh thank you.

Many Blessings Always Debby emoticon emoticon

Gee, you could be talking about my sister-in-law. She is an extremely unhappy and lonely person. She's very competitive and doesn't work well with others, as well as, thoughtless and lacking compassion. I try not to rise to the occasion when she works at tormenting me (and others). I do best when I have no contact with her! Sorry you have someone in your life like this.

I did have a mean girl in high school who loved to poke at me. I ignored her for the most part until finally one day I asked her why I was so important to her. She never bothered me again.

I used to work with that person. She was SO hateful and for some reason jealous of me... It was awful, and I learned to hate her back, for sure. But when I left that company, it was such a relief to not see her and not be subject to her awful remarks and nastiness. She verbally attacked me once in a meeting - screaming at me for no good reason, and was "punished" by getting a new assignment... Oh, I am sorry I even thought of her.. Let me go watch the video again!! LOL

I don't hate any right now luckily in my life. Get annoyed by a few yes but hate no. But I do have a lot of anxiety about different things. I'm trying to channel that with exercise. Maybe you could do the same. Hating someone takes energy and creates a unhealthy energy similar I would think to anxiety. Just a thought. Good luck!

Hating is a real waste of energy and hurts you more than the one you are hating..When you hate someone you GIVE them power over you.

I have hate issues also. My awful person was (still is) a preacher. I believed in my young and na´ve years he was evil. A false teacher. His career over the past 30 years has proved me right. I pray about it. I pray for him, but I still despise him after all this time. Gag reflex. At least he's not a part of my life anymore.

Had someone close like that in my life. The phrase 'Hurting people hurt people" struck a chord with me and changed my responses to their behavior as I realized they were trying to drive others away because of their fear of rejection. Reject before being rejected -- what a miserable way to live. Still not easy to be around but tension and anger melted into a form of pity along with more patience.
