A Better Day

Tuesday, August 20, 2013

I'm so glad that I posted a blog last night. The supportive, caring community of friends here picked me right back up. One of them (before she read my blog) posted one of her own that felt tailor made for me today.

I am not going to let numbers on a piece of plastic derail all my hard work and the healthy habits that I am building. This site has been a true "God Breeze" as Fly Lady would put it. Knowing that there are people out there who don't even know me in person but who care, support and encourage me on this really HARD journey? Well, it makes all the difference.

I was dreading my weigh-in tomorrow but you know what? Thanks to Blushious, it's just a number on a piece of plastic.

One day at a time. Thank you for being there for me, my friends.

Glad that the scale is not defining you :) That can be a hard lesson to learn, but its just a little number and not at all what makes you, you

Yes, it is just a piece of plastic. One of my recent spark coach lessons was a lesson on what if there were no scales and how would we know we were healthy. Keep going - you can do this! emoticon emoticon

Awwww, this makes me so happy! You're re-thinking this process and learning that the number doesn't define you, it's the person you become along the way that's important. Whether that scale reflects a 4lbs loss or a .4lbs loss, you're on your way to becoming a better you. No scale can diminish what you've learned/are learning throughout this process. Hooray for you!!!

Good thought. Don't let the scale define you. It is just one tool to help you gauge your progress, but it is not the only tool.

Just keep working hard and you will get there!

Isn't it amazing? I love the support and camaraderie that I've found on Spark People. I never imagined it! I'm so glad to hear that you are having the same positive experiences. It's so good to know that all we have to do is Blog and we'll get support (not judgment) exactly when we need it.
Good luck tomorrow - sounds like you have the right attitude
