Well, I really do. No doubt about it. I do not like that daggone thing!
It is a nice treadmill, I got it for free from someone who used it too often as a clothes rack. My son uses it nearly everyday, good for him. I still hate it.
Seriously, I only use it when I have not much other choice and yesterday I was very short on time and had to do a 3 mile run to stay on track with my half-marathon training. (Trust the training. Just do it and shut-up.) Okay, okay, it is only three miles. I can handle it for three miles. I will suck it up and go run. I dawdled and dawdled to get on it and then I had "reasons" to stop and take a break. Asthma, water, too hot, etc. It took me way too long to complete 3 miles and I probably could have just went and run outside and felt better and got done faster. I was glad when it was over and I did not go a single step over my 3 miles. Not this time, not gonna do it.
I really don't know how to make it any better and I commend anyone who uses them. I did what I had to do and I am glad that I normally get to do my exercise out of doors. I love being outside and that is what keeps me sane.
Tonight I had a 5 mile run to do and I went to my favorite State Park and had a lovely time! Interaction with others, nice scenery, visual stimulation, nice air going, and so on. It just feels better and more of an accomplishment. That 5 miles of running past much easier, more pleasant and seemed to go much faster then that daggone 3 miles on the Dreadmill.
Well enough of that. How do you feel about using a treadmill?
