Today I continued with the exercises. Boy I can feel it in my hip. Whatever I can do to keep myself in shape. Today, the ice felt a little colder than it did yesterday. Last night was the first time I tried to stay on my right side while I slept. I woke up once and my right leg and hip were hurting so I slept on my left side for a while. Then, the next time I woke up I went back to my tight side. I woke up with my right shoulder feeling stiff. I guess I'll need to elevate my head when I'm sleeping on my right side. It's funny, since there have been times in the past when I've preferred sleeping on my right.
I discovered a new book by an author I've read before. The author of Cholesterol Down has written a new book called Blood Pressure Down. She tells you how to use lifestyle changes to improve your health. She lets you download the first chapter for free and if you purchase the book, you can get a refund when you show her that you have read it. I have a website I have purchased ebooks from before and they had the book for $2.00 cheaper than the other sites. If interested, you can find out more about her here:
I need to get some vegetables in today, I'll have to have a salad and some other veggies for dinner. I think I'm running out so I need to get my son to do some more shopping for me. Luckily, Aldi's has reasonably priced bagged salads and frozen vegetables. I can't really trust him to pick out the good vegetables, or me to be able to fix them, so frozen vegetables and salads are my lifesavers right now.
I've been able to get through the evenings without snacking up a storm. I've been staying within my calorie allowances. The only sweets I've had this past week are fruits and a piece of dark chocolate. Really good when I think about what I've been eating over the past year or two. I haven't weighed myself this week, still have to figure out how I can do it. Last week, I slipped off of the scale and onto my sore leg. I may just wait until I can stand. I know that I am losing an inch or so and I look forward to measuring myself this week-end to see how I'm doing.
So far so good. Thanks for the support.
