I use to not give time to myself...just this past spring, but this summer it's seem like it had gotten worse. Everytime my daughters wanted to go somewhere, have fun, or just rest they bring their children for me to watch, not even asking me if I had something to do. And o course I go on and watch them because I know everybody needs a break, especially from children sometimes...But where was my break. I went on a small vacation for the month of July and the girls had to make it without me. Find someone else to babysat, take your child with you, or don't go. And they did. When I got back I told everybody I see you can make it without me everyday. So Now here is my new schedule...
Sunday...Family Day
Tuesday....ME DAY(no ids, no calls, no grandchildren, no husband)
Thursday...husband day
Friday.....Grandchildren day(which rolls over into Saturday and then they go home

That way no dropping off children when they want to... I get my time to myself and get to share quality time with my husband and no interruptions.

You go, girl. You already did your job raising kids. Now it's time to pamper yourself. I had to also learn how to put my foot down with babysitting all the time. Now I get my grandkids when I want to spend quality time with them.
