My short weekend stay at my Mother's was gorgeous and I took full advantage, hitting the trails three times on Saturday and one long hike on Sunday.
The first hike was in the off leash area with Daisy going on ahead as we followed the steep riverbank hugging trail:
Its a pretty trail as well with blooms:
The steepness is hard to see in two dimensions:
Unfortunately, there is evidence fall is coming:
On my last and longest hike on Sunday, we once again, went to the off leash area and on the way back tried to take a short cut:
That is where I had my hard fall. Something caught both my feet at once and I landed hard on my back. It had twisted me as I thought I was going to do a face plant at first and explained why I got instant pain in my right knee as it had been wrenched.
Today, my knee is much better, but my neck muscles are painfully sore, making it difficult to lift my head off a pillow and each swallow is sore. Its mostly on my right side. Its remarkable it never bothered my head (that is no headaches, etc.) The ground was soft with detritus though. I can feel my shoulder muscles and my right elbow is even sorer :(
The bridge game I ran today went well. But making the hand records for the STaC games this week did not. More tomorrow its late midnight.
Thanks for stopping by
