Weathering the "tough" times

Monday, August 19, 2013

I am actually struggling with this very thing right now. I am in a stagnate sort of place as far as losing weight is concerned. In fact, last year at this time I was about 10 to 15 lbs lighter according to the scale. However, my clothes have NOT changed sizes, I still fit into the clothes I did last year. My hubby says I still LOOK fabulous, so I am trying NOT to worry about what the scale says, and just to continue to FOCUS on what I know I need to do. Working out and eating right! I will keep on plugging along and I know that eventually that DARN scale will catch up with my efforts! I WILL KEEP PUSHING ON!

If your clothes still fit you must be tightening up. You're staying on top of things and that's great!

It's a journey, not a destination and sometime we take wrong turn that makes the whole trip better.

"Working out and eating right"....continue on your path. You are doing all that you can and your clothes are telling you the truth. That scale is just trying to mess with your mind....IGNORE IT!! emoticon

I just commented on this to another SparkFriend! Forget the scale, do everything you are supposed to and embrace the lifestyle! Positive waves. You're doing it and you keep focus on going forward! I've been ill since Aug 2 and am just starting to recover. It took a huge hit on my running, training, endurance, everything. I'm just looking forward to my next Triathlon on Nov 10. I focus on this and press forward carefully. You just do the same. Go forward and you will go through the wall! Stay strong and be well!

You know the # on the scale is far less important than how you FEEL overall and how your clothes feel and look! You are living a lifestyle that is fit and healthy and THAT is a much better measure than the scale. Were it not for the BLC, we could all throw it away and use those broader "measurements" for our wellness measures! emoticon emoticon

The scale could be right, you might have more muscles, more defined and your clothes are giving you the correct feedback. Be proud of your achievements.
