It's been a rough couple of weeks, physically. During the last 21 days I have had 19 migraines, which is probably a new record. It wasn't really brought on by anything, either. My migraines are typically brought on by a whole bunch of junk food, or a change in weather, or lack of sleep, or an abnormal amount of stress. None of these triggers were present.
And that's just the tip of the iceberg. There are some other issues arising, none of which I'm comfortable talking about yet. There is a possibility of a doctor's visit in the near future but it will likely still take some time to figure out what's wrong.
I don't like to leave the grid, so to speak. Considering how far away most of my friends and family are, the internet is often a lifeline. I communicate as best I can. But in this situation it's difficult, and the migraines make writing torture. So I'll try to update anyone who cares. Just don't worry that I've given up on SparkPeople, or anything. I'm still here.
I did go on a nice long walk on Saturday. Two hours of walking, actually. Well, it was longer than that, but I only recorded two hours of it. It was definitely more. Needless to say, I overworked myself by not paying attention, and went to bed with yet another migraine because I also spent most of that day without food--also because I wasn't paying attention. When I get focused on something, believe it or not, I forget to eat, and don't even notice I'm hungry. I think it's one of the curses of being a teacher--I'm sure doctors and nurses understand the feeling, except they get paid better to go for hours on end without food or potty breaks.
Anyways. I will not say I'm fine or that everything is okay, but I am here, and I am alive, and I'll keep everyone informed as I am able. :)
