A normal day

Monday, August 19, 2013

It was a nice, calm, normal day for me and the dog. I did have to get through a morning apartment inspection by the building manager and a trip to the lab for more blood work, but those were painless (well, mostly painless except for the needle) and quickly accomplished.

I got the dog out for his morning walk, had lunch, then took him out for his afternoon walk. Afterward I settled into the recliner to read a good book (about a werewolf named Kitty), When I had finished the book (I read pretty fast) I went out for a short run. It only took me 12 minutes to run my 1.5 mile loop. Now I am considering what to make for dinner. I have broccoli and spinach in the fridge, so probably something green will happen. After dinner I will take the dog for another short walk, then sit down with another book for a while before heading off to bed.

That is pretty much a normal day for me. It is a routine that suits me and the dog. I might go to the gym one day this week, just to mix things up, and there is a 5k on Sunday that I could go run in if I feel like it, but everything is fluid and laid back at this point. My brother is out of town this week, so no paddling in the forecast. I could use the break though. This month has been super busy and fast paced up to the point, so relaxing is pretty high up on my agenda.

What does your normal day look like?

This is great knowing when you need a break from the frantic pace :)
Morning is exercise of some kind, Sparking, bridge (either playing or working the game) fast walking to it back and forth, appointments, evening exercise, catching up with tracking and Spark friends, any club computer work, Sudoku or Netcell if time.
My rest time is at Mom's, hiking the river trails. Slow internet there so limited computer time. Will watch movies on their TV. Gave TV up 2 years ago at my apartment and don't really miss it. I would still prefer to see a movie on the big screen.
