Why have I stopped tracking??

Monday, August 19, 2013

I started tracking my stuff again and I'm finding that it keeps me more aware of how much I am putting into my body. When I am tracking, it guilts me (in a good way) to not reach for something that I shouldn't have and it motivates me to get up and move. I've really been bad at tracking and it is showing. So I plan to make sure, no matter what, that I am at least tracking my food on a daily basis and this will help me stay active.

Thanks for reading. Have a great day!!

I'm with you; tracking keeps me more mindful of what I'm eating and calorie count.

You can do this!

Tracking is a necessary evil. We have to hold ourselves accountable - and that is what tracking does for me. Sometimes I have the urge to not track, but I realize that tracking is what is best for me.

I hear ya! I have been slacking off quite a bit this summer also. No more excuses for me either. emoticon

Good for you, recognizing what works for you and committing to doing it. emoticon

My mind set when I'm tracking and I want to eat something bad is "I don't want to have to figure out HOW to track that because it would be a pain!" and a lot of times that alone is reason for me not to eat it.

I haven't been doing the greatest on tracking either.

I'm right there with you. The summer wasn't great for tracking, but I'm back on it today.
