As I mentioned in my last blog, we have been getting so much rain and guess what, it rained all weekend!
Friday was cloudy off & on all day with mist & drizzle. It stopped drizzling around 2 and was actually nice for a couple of hours. DH & DD#1 had to work Friday night, DD#3 was staying after school for her middle school "kick off" carnival and DD#2 was working concession for volleyball. I thought DD#2 would want to run after that because they didn't have practice. She's not been sleeping well and wasn't feeling good (summer cold), so she texted me that she just wanted to come home and not run.
So, since it wasn't raining when I got home from work, I decided to run by myself outside. Since I only had about a 45 min. "window of opportunity", I ran the hilly trail. It was actually a nice run and the temperature was great (about 68 degrees - we did end up having a record low for August on Friday).
That was about the extent of my exercise over the weekend! I woke up early Saturday and started cleaning house. We were supposed to babysit my great nephew and I wanted to make sure the floors were clean! My niece called and they weren't going kayaking because of the weather (cool & rainy again), so instead I spent the day helping DD#2 reorganize her room and move around her furniture. Turns out one of the reasons she hasn't been sleeping well is because of her mattress, so we bought her a new one on Saturday (DH is picking up today). Later in the day we went to Kohl's to buy her a new comforter set. It was a busy day, but no exercise (and I ate crappy)!
Yesterday it was still rainy. I got up early again (darn you menopause) and did a little more cleaning and lounged around watching TV until the girls got up later in the morning. DD#3 wanted to rearrange her room, so we did that most of the afternoon.
There was a break in the weather Sunday afternoon, so I put some chicken on to grill and was going to run outside (DD#2 still wasn't feeling well, so she didn't want to run and the indoor gym was already closed).
Before the chicken was done, it started raining again! In fact, some of Northwest Georgia had tornado warnings last night and all of North Georgia is under a flash flood warning today.
So, I didn't get any exercise, but at least I had a nice, healthy dinner.
Overall, my eating was pretty crappy over the weekend. I've determined that I can't keep my favorite frozen yogurt in the house because I can't seem to control my portions (kind of pathetic).
Anyway, this week will be extremely busy - 3 days of volleyball games (Wed., Thurs. & all day Saturday), Girl Scouts starts tonight and DH is working 2 jobs this week.
I should be able to run tomorrow (DD#2 doesn't have practice) and I could always squeeze in a workout DVD. I'm not really concerned about the exercise, but I do want to get the eating back in control.
