Bad Weekend, Bad

Monday, August 19, 2013

The one habit I can never seem to break is the emotional eating one!

This weekend was soo bad for it too! My family came to visit and of course my brother and sister in law love junk food, so there was chips and pop galore at my house. At first I was able to resist the urge to taste and then well that was thrown out the window when we decided to watch a few movies. I tried to keep things like breakfast and lunch really healthy, lots of fresh fruit and veggies, salads and lean protein, but supper always turned into something quick and easy, like bbq burgers and hot dogs.

They all left Saturday morning and I was a bit relieved because I could eat normally, but that didnt happen. Dollface( the bf) and I decided we just wanted to have a relaxing weekend , so we read and watched movies, I got a good deal of cross stitching done, but my apetite never seemed to be satisfied. i was snacking all weekend, and of course we had leftovers that we didnt want to go to waste..

Overall I ate to much junk and not enough good stuff. So today I am picking back up my normal healthy routine, and not straying from it.

I need to learn to stay healthy even when my family is around, if they dont like it then they can cook for themselves

    Hi, MICKIWILD,

I have found that the days I'm eating (what I think to be) horribly, when I track my calories, I'm actually not that much over my SparkPeople calorie range.

Also, I'm learning from various online nutrition sources that I might be undereating anyway.

I agree with OTTAWABOUND . . . no more punishing. You are worth it, and we are human. You can do this. One day at a time.

But here you are on Monday picking your healthy eating habits back up again! And your family isn't there every weekend, right?

In the long run, I have to believe that eating healthy food in a healthy calorie range 90% of the time will eventually result in a healthy weight. No more punishing myself when things aren't perfect. Because I often punish with binge eating...

Hope you have a great week.

Emotional eating is a hard habit to break, but with time...its breakable. Keep pushing.
