Today's Kick in the Butt

Monday, August 19, 2013

I'm not giving up. No where near that. I found my motivation. It was hiding under the bed
Anyhow, on Saturday I had an awesome run. The best I've had in a very VERY long time. Yesterday when I went out, I was simply too drained to push again. No big deal. I stopped running and walked instead.

This morning I've still got some body aches. Today is a long day at work - I have to leave home at 8am, and won't be back until about 9pm. No overtime. Oh well. My last visit tonight is taking my girl to a yoga class. We've never been to yoga before, so I know I'm looking forward to it.

With these body aches this morning, I've decided not to push a run this morning. I rested. I'll be getting in just over an hour of yoga tonight anyhow. So any fitness I can pick up during the day is a bonus.

So today is a day off for me. A day off with a yoga class tonight. I'll let y'all know how it goes.

Today is a day to focus more on my nutrition. Since I'll be on the road all day, I need to get it together this morning and take it with me. Or at least have a solid plan in place to get it done right.

What are you planning to help you reach your goals today?

I agree with Janet: only a HALF day off emoticon

Yes, listen to your body, give it a break from time to time when it tells you it needs one, and try out that yoga class with your daughter. You're going to LOVE it! Great stretches and stress reliever for me. emoticon

I think that is more of a half day off! LOL Glad you listened and let your body rest this morning even though I know you wanted to run.
