I can remember September 2012. My husband was failing; he had to get his catheter installed for treatment. We both felt dialysis was a death sentence. We were so wrong.
We now realize that his dialysis takes the place of his kidney function. He must adhere to his diet to get good results. He does. I must cook with foods that are good for him and that are free of pesticide and chemicals. This is okay.
I find more problems with the sleep apnea and his noisy mask. I try to deal with it and catch rest. Sometimes it is a challenge.
I am grateful that I can help my husband at home.
