Couple of Weeks In

So I'm a couple of weeks into my new site and LOVING IT. For the first time ever, I'm actually sticking to updating a web site. Go figure. Here it is if you missed the last blog about it...

I no longer use SP to track as I'm loving on MyFitnessPal and so I need to stick with what's working for me. If you happen to use it, feel free to add me!!! My name on there is: ChangingMorgan.

Otherwise, school for teachers starts tomorrow (the kiddos next week). So summer is officially over! Granted, I had trainings all last week, but that's just different. I can't tell you how exactly, it just is!

Down 5.7 since like the 8th. I started up, and will stick to because it works for my school schedule, intermittent fasting. There are two main ways to do IF: either a full 24 hours no food once or twice a week or skip a meal a day (i.e. go 12 hours between two meals). I do that last option. I skip breakfast. Please don't go wonky on me about how studies show blah blah blah. Studies show anything anybody wants studies to show. I've read them all. Essentially you can follow just about anything and if it WORKS for you, then that's what matters. And this is working for me. I'm more cognizant of what I put in my body (good or bad!) and stick FAR better to plan. I failed miserably on any "plan" last year because I just couldn't get the timing right. Breakfast, snacks, etc, just didn't work with my particular schedule in the classroom - it does for some teachers, mine it doesn't. I've been practicing the IF this last week for the timing and it's amazing. I'll have this week to throw in the morning workouts with it. I will have a banana or some such before workout to fuel the body, but I don't really count that as breakfast, but as fuel.

    If it works for you, great! I agree with you--who are we to judge? I need to keep my blood sugars level so I eat every three hours. If I drop too low I get really cranky, dizzy, and disoriented. Hypoglycemia is not as much fun as it sounds.

    Morgan that is a fantastic loss. Good for you. I'm thinking if you fast for 24 hours you can have water and zero calorie seltzer and such. Sometimes I skip breakfast due to an early Dr's appt so this might just work for me. I'll be checking out your blog again.
