Bought a Fitbit

Sunday, August 18, 2013

I finally decided to splurge and bought myself a fitbit. I have had a hard time finding the motivation to get up and exercise. I have been eating pretty well and avoiding junk food. I just haven't been able to get myself up and get exercising.

I stopped making excuses yesterday morning. I went out in the morning and ran an few errands and picked up a Fitbit One while I was out. I immediately came home, charged the fitbit and set up my account.

I found myself constantly looking at my fitbit, realizing I should have more steps, realizing I should go climb stairs. So I did! I ended yesterday with 9635 steps and 3.99 miles. I also climbed 25 flights of stairs.

Today is rainy, so I was a little upset thinking that I wouldn't be able to get outside and walk. Who cares about a little rain!?! I just went outside and walked around for an hour. I'm at 7573 steps and 3.11 miles.

I'm determined to get to 10,000 steps today ... so I'm off to go climb up and down my stairs!

Most people who have bought these gadgets have found them to be incredibly motivating! Just be sure you are not overdoing it if you are new to exercise, as aches and pains can make a quick end to wanting to get moving!
    Keep up the great work!
