Putting Together a Gym, but first a minor surgery

Sunday, August 18, 2013

I'm putting together a gym. I already have the mini-tram and the power wheel (on right). I'm buying a bench, a rope and 10 lbs bells from Amazon. They will be here waiting while I get a minor surgery done. The skin boil is on my leg and will get in the way of exercise routines. I'm taking care of this first before I start playing with the equipments.

P.S. Yesterday I checked a local Sport Authority for the price of 10 lbs bell. They wanted $36 each. I found a deal on Amazon and I got 2 for $37 shipping included. So I got 2 for the price of 1. I had to hit the buy button in a hurry. LOL. Also, they are selling their weight benches at $99 minimum. Once again, Amazon came through with a used bench for $40 includes shipping. Who wouldn't want to save $60? I bought that yesterday.

Aug 26 Update: Used bench from Amazon turns out to be a dud because of missing part. I ordered a new one instead and sending back this mess. As for the surgery, they need to have me come back, so it's been rescheduled to Sep 12. Thanks for asking.

My kettleblells arrived yesterday. I did a thegymbox.com workout with them this morning and I was dripping sweat in about 5 minutes and I have felt great today. I am looking forward to a lot more k-bell workout.

Wow, it looks like you have a fantastic set-up! Good for you!

    Good luck with your surgery.

I just bought a set of kettlebells on Amazon, too. We must have found the same deal because that price sounds familiar. I can hardly wait for them to get here. We have a tight space, but its amazing how a few pieces of equipment can go a long ways. I have a 5 lb pair of dumbbells from the Goodwill and I have used them regularly for the last 10 years.

Keep us posted on how your gym develops.
