Day 69: The Real ME and Rest

This is the last weekend of summer break for me. I decided to take it easy. I know that we should exercise at least 10 minutes every day, but something within me felt okay with resting this weekend. I have surpassed my workout minutes for the week, so that also helped me to make my decision.
I weighed myself and finally escaped my plateau. I am on my way! There is something very powerful about breaking free of something that feels like a burden. Mine was 187 pounds. I couldn't budge. But now that I have, I will remember how long it took me to get this far and not lose hope.
The motivational quote from today's SparkCoach was for me. "Whether it's a 17 minute mile or a 7 minute mile, it is still a mile." Mine scale move was the 17 minute mile, but it was still worth going the mile. And so I celebrate this success with rest. This will be the last time I get any so I will enjoy my Sunday and all it has to offer me and get ready for the 2014 school year marathon.
I am looking forward to the end of this race to see how I fair. I am excited because I know I will be healthier and smaller. I know we countdown for many different reasons. But my countdown is not to see summer, but to see ME! And that is an awesome and positive reason to countdown.
