Level 18!

Sunday, August 18, 2013

OK, so it took me a VERY long time to get here and so many of my spark buddies have been at level 20 4Ever but . . .

finally, I've got past the trophies to the crowns!!

So thrilling!

I know Shakespeare said "uneasy lies the head that wears the crown" but ya know . . . I'm not planning to sleep on it. I'll keep on working to earn it . . . and the next one . . . and the one after that!!

I'll be moving up a level soon, and find myself wondering what progress this will represent. I've made so many changes as I have racked up my trophies and points, still a long ways to go.
I love those SP motivational tricks, I'll take anything that will help me along the way to good health and fitness.

emoticon You are the very best of SparkPeople and I am amazed at the number of people you elevate and build up. You are a "kingmaker" and I mean that in the kindest way. Thank you.

Congrats on another great milestone!! Truly you are amazing -- all that sparking while working and managing a demanding career. Can't be easy.

Thanks for my bullseye goodie. Yep, hubby is active doing yard work, walking the dog, and our dancing. He kept up pretty good at Universal Studios and I'm sure we walked 8 miles each day. Wish I could help him more, though. And I will say, although he overeats a bit regularly, I'm the one much more likely to totally lose it and occasionally just eat like a crazy obese person. So we each have our own challenges. Glad your hubby is so healthy. As he ages he may have to work harder to maintain his health and you may be in a position to help and inspire him.

What that simply means is you are an awesome loyal Sparker!
I personally stopped looking at the awards, levels and trophies long ago as they don't mean a lot to me. What I love about Sparkpeople are the people I have met and the easy way to track my food and fitness and be kept accountable! I try to accumulate as many Spark points as I can though, so I can give out goodies, with lots of friends it spreads me a bit thin!

Another of the "stupid motivational tricks" that MOBYCARP talks about... the levels! emoticon

Whatever it takes to keep us living healthy... it's not about the points, it's about the living! emoticon

I just moved to level 13 and enjoyed my new medal. It is nice to have that symbol of success. I will join in the crown in a few months. Congratulations on reaching Level 20. It is the small steps that matter so much in our journey!

I know what you mean...the trophies and goodies and rewards and awards are all wonderful...they make a difference in trying to "stay the same"!

    Have a celebratory day!

    Cheers,
