The week started off with me winning $200 on keno. Which of course was wonderful. Work kept me busy for the week.I went up for a nice bush walk twice which I hadn't been to for quite a few years. I always looked forward to going back up there. The first day just Dwayne and I went, and it was tiring but good. The second day we convinced Samantha to come and we took the dogs. Sammy found it hard, but she completed it. I was very proud of her, because it was quite out of her comfort zone, but she did it. And even when she was younger and before she ever got big, Sammy never loved walking like me and Dwayne.
This is a picture we took on the walk. It is so lovely there, and is a wonderful home to the birdlife.
On Friday was my birthday and I only had one client. Dwayne had taken the week off work so he was home and Sammy was too. I got home and the kids gave me my prezzies. It is as important to the kids as it is to me. Dwayne goes quite overboard with his gift giving, so needless to say I got pretty spoilt. Then a little while later we were sitting around in the lounge and the earthquake arrived. It was another big one like we had last month. This was a 6.6 , and we sure felt it. So, two years ago on my birthday we got snow. And we don't get snow where I live. But that year we got snow, so it was a huge thing. This year for my birthday we got an earthquake, a big one. There have been heaps of aftershocks of all sizes and depths.
This was a picture Dwayne took out the back yard when it snowed.
So I had an eventful birthday. My sister and her husband came around today and my brother came around in the afternoon. My brother was saying what can we do next year, because I will be 50. He had a big party for his 50th, and I don't want anything like that. But if I am under 90 kilos by then I will be happy. And I don't want to think about my birthday for another year now. There's plenty more to do and achieve before then!!
I was just looking through our photos on the computer. This one is off two pokeko's I might not have spelt that right. They are so funny, they are long legged black and blue birds.
I hope you have had a great weekend.
This picture is Samantha and I which Dwayne took. We were up at one of the lookout's. And we were sprang from behind, Sammy has the hood on.
