Hilly hike and new tracker
Sunday, August 18, 2013
Yesterday was a great day. We went for a really hilly hike in the woods with my in-laws. Through thick bushes, up steep cliffs and over soggy mires. I loved it! Wind cooling us down, moss under our feet and little monkey happily running around picking fresh berries for us all to eat. She was wading in grass and bushes up to her waist for the most part, still no complaints!
I have to hand it to my in-laws, they are in impressive shape! Both have turned 60, still they climbed up and down cliffs and over fallen trees fearlessly and seemingly effortlessly, leading the way.
Wednesday last week I decided to try the new nutrition tracker. My plan is to stick with the ranges provided to see if this can bust my 2 year plateau. However I did not manage to follow through on that plan yesterday, falling 300+ calories short despite consuming almost 2000. (No worries! This will not be a very frequent issue. I don't normally burn 1000+ calories a day..)
Thankfully today is a new day. I have no strenuous exercise planned, so I will have no problems consuming enough calories, I just hope I can stay within budget.
