Week 80 18th August 2013...weigh in...

Hi there Sparkies,

This week was flu week with not much sleep and all in my head, and a dry sore throat. The cold night air causing me to cough and cough and cough get the idea :) Argh... sniff...cough...etc...

On the exercise front I was given another Zumba dvd so that was no trouble and I exercised anyway in spite of the heavy breathing... food choices were good and I went over the month back in 2012 where I lost 3.9 kgs and looked at the food choices I made then compared to now. I was eating a lot of protein ...dah... and having salads and more fruit.

ASIDE: I have gone off iceberg lettuce after a TV program advised there was a bug on it from slugs that made you really sick and unable to function. Bit like Jaws... don't need to tell me twice.!!!!

So I ploughed literally into the week increasing food and adding more protein and expecting the great REVIVAL of losses for today. I must admit I felt better than I have in a while and was not hungry .

Drum roll please....I'm UP .4 kg. I'm actually pleased as I increased muscle and feel great.

So thankful so many lovely Sparkies commented on my blog that they too are going through it at the moment. I'm just going to do as they advised and keep going. If it takes a lot longer to get to my goal....? So what...I'm really caring about myself now as I never have before---I deserve to be happy and live a great life.

    Sorry to hear you have been sick!
You are doing great and you are going through what I am sure many have gone through, I know I have. Where when you first start out weight loss is quicker, then it slows down. But, perseverance and patience will win the race to the ultimate goal! So keep it up! emoticon

    I stopped eating lettuce years ago, replaced it with spinach!
