So, it's been quite some time since I've blogged. But I'm back now and recommitting to myself and my health. The best way for me to do that is to get active here again.
David graduated from school in May, and was offered a job an hour after his last exam! How awesome! Right after that, we started house hunting. After about 2 weeks of looking, we put an offer in and had it accepted! We closed on our first home July 1. We spent all of July painting, cleaning, and moving our stuff. I spent very little time at the gym, since we had some much going on with the house. Did I mention I was also playing rec volleyball 2 nights a week about 45 minutes from our new home? It was a crazy ridiculous month! Now that we are officially out of our apartment, I've had more time to get back to working out and eating better. We signed up at a gym near the house last week, and it's been going really well. I'm back to lifting 3x/week and running 3x/week, as well as walking at lunch with a coworker. I'm feeling better and have so much more energy, why did I ever slack on exercise in the first place?!
Next month is the wedding and I feel like there is still so much to do! I can't wait to marry my best friend though :) I would love to drop about 5 more pounds before then though ;)
