Wake up call and motivation to get back on track

Saturday, August 17, 2013

I had two people today who commented on my weight gain. My father's friend told me that I looked better before and my cousin asked if she could get my "old" clothes since they were too small for me (she asked me because I do have nice clothes and she needs something to wear to church). Now, I don't have any problems giving away clithes, but to presume that I will stay this way and NOT fit back into my clothes is annoying at best. I DO NOT INTEND to stay thid way forever! I did gain 20 lbs s over the last year and I fully intend to lose it again. I know what I need to do--I have always known. Now I just have to do it and I will!

Rude people do not deserve a reply. A long stare is sufficient.

You have a great attitude because I probably would have reacted differently had they said that to me...LOL...but yes, you will do what you need to do to lose the weight...motivation indeed!

I'm not exactly sure what motivates people to try to make you feel badly about yourself, but I'm glad that you're not buying into it. I'm glad to see that you are positive about where you're headed and I'm glad you're ready to get started. I'm willing to be a supporter and encourager for you on your journey.
