So far I've only taken off 1/2 lb this month. I keep my carbs low, but I'm still eating plenty of calories. A diet buddy pushed me to get out of my workout rut (on the elliptical like a hamster in a wheel) but I think I need my ruts. I feel good about holding steady.
I had one day where I'd had enough sweetened products (too many with malitol) and experienced both gas, and total munchies the next day. My fix for everything in low carb is cheese and pickles. It was helpful to see how quickly adhering to unsweetened low carb got me back on track. I was working on a project this week that called for some stress eating. A bottle of Vlasic Snackumms mini-dills and a few ounces of sliced cheddar was just the ticket!
I was pretty happy when I did my monthly measurements today and lost a little everywhere:
waist: -0.6" to 29.9"
hips: -0.8 to 37.4"
thigh: -0.8" to 22.6"
arm: -0.4 to 11.0"
neck: -0.7 to 13.1"
Tomorrow is my weigh in. I have a new scale, and the old one is still functional, so I'll report what both say. Checking them today, the new one is a little lower. My weight is consistently lower at the gym, so I'm not surprised. And yes, I will take the "bonus" as a weigh in. I'm so close to 50 lbs lost, and ready to get there, even if there is an asterisk next to my record!
