I'm still here ....

Saturday, August 17, 2013

I feel like I've been running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. Between the errands and the yard work and cleaning and yard work and errands ..... yep chicken with it's head cut off. ( I know that is just a gross saying. and yes I have seen a chicken do that and we got into trouble for letting it do that.)
Hubby took some time off from work to help me with the "cleaning of the fence." We've spent about 8 hours on it and it still isn't clean. We so hate yard work. Why did we buy a house with a big yard??? Well isn't that what everybody does? Now I'm wishing we had a patio home (they don't have yards, just a patio).
Still have days when my heart hurts for my friends dad. I think that is why they call mourning. Don't remember ever feeling like this before, not even when my grandma passed away. but I was closer to my friends dad than her.
Ok nuff of that ....... now some happy stuff.
Went with hubby while he played golf the other day. It was probably the most perfect day we've had in awhile. Sunshine, cool breeze, fluffy clouds, quiet, peaceful, cool temp. (jeans, flip flops, tank top)
ummmm my yard is starting to look better.
...... grass is growing
...... fishies are getting bigger
..... haven't gained any weight
..... still getting in my steps ~ had over 10,000 the other day!
..... hubby still loves me
..... reading a good book
..... have a hummingbird (or 3) that comes and visits the feeder.
I got other happy stuff but that would take like forever to list. and my hands are tired from using the hedge trimmers. ...... ohhhh and it's so sweet! Ryobi, battery operated, quiet, light weight, no gas, no extension cords ...... and yes it's a new toy. ......sigh .... can't help it. Some people it's shoes or jewelry, me it's power tools! Hubby says that if he ever wants to get me excited all he has to do is take me to lowe's or home depot and look at the power tools and the wood. .... and he's right.
I hope that you are having a wonderful weekend.
Hug your loved ones, tell them that you care about them.

Oh you are too funny. Hearing about your Ryobi makes me want to go out & buy one & do some yard work! My day with the electrical week whacker was torture so I would like something a little easier to do outside-lol!

Wow, nice! You'd hate our yard even more, we have a hill in the front and back. :( Didn't think about how much trouble that would be when we were in our 20's, but it sure bites sometimes working out there in our 50's and 60's. *sigh*
Lots of great positives! :) You're doing awesome.
It's always okay to mourn as long as you need too. My prayers are with you and so are my HUGS!
