Sewing machine

Saturday, August 17, 2013

A few years back my DH bought me a new sewing machine and as I'd asked for plain jane and cheap that is what I got. It has been great but of course has no lights and whistles. My concern that it would sit in a corner and not be used was unfounded. I've made a bunch of quilts and really enjoy them.

My hands are fairly week so I'd like to machine quilt but my little machine can't do it. Well, I found a quilting machine that is just the answer. I ordered a new Singer on Thursday and can't wait to get my hands on it. This was through Joanne's and is a Singer with great reviews. It was also 1/2 price so I felt really good about the purchase.

Now to use up all that material I've been hording so I can buy some new stuff. I should have a couple of quilts done so I can practice my machine quilting.

I think I'll have enough to keep me busy in retirement!!!
