How Do You Do It?

Saturday, August 17, 2013

....... spreading the Spark I mean? In these past few months I have had so many doctors appointments and seen so many health care workers that I have spread Spark to all of them! I find that if I can show them the site with the realistic and healthy way of doing things along with the trackers, they are much more receptive than my trying to explain it. The thing is, I love the Sparking. I get so excited about it. I don't know how often I have mentioned in my blog entries how much Spark and all my friends here mean to me. The day I clicked "register" was one of the best in my life as it has helped me to become much more healthy. Although I still have my physical issues, my life is 1000 times better. So, how do you spread the Spark?

Between getting behind because of not being able to move too well and having a day here and there to try to keep up, I managed to have my nails done again. I also got another haircut. This time it is very short. I asked her to use clippers in the back and on the sides. Sometimes it is too painful to lift my left arm long enough to use a blow dryer and/or curling iron, so this cut is easiest for me to handle.

Sorry I don't have one of the haircut, but the way I've been feeling, I haven't wanted my picture taken.

Bob and I had our 13th anniversary the 12th. I got a new exercise program for both of to use on his Xbox. I also got myself a new mat since I do so many floor exercises. Bob also got me a Vera Bradley purse I have wanted and a Bubba Mug!

Taking the advice of my one follower on these pages, I spent some time working on the book she suggested I write. This is my first attempt to do more than an essay that is non-fiction. As I get it closer to completion, most likely I'll be asking for volunteers to read it over and let me know what you think. You have all steered me right and I trust and value your opinions.

Many new things have come my way. I am continuing doing at least one new thing a week. Some of those are: writing the non-fiction book (or at least getting a good start), entering new contests, trying new exercises such as using hand weights, collecting new recipes for foods I have never tried, getting information about making an art journal - a way of journaling I have never tried, etc. Have any of you kept up with doing something new each week?

I must apologize to most of you for not being around and/or posting to my teams and individuals like I should. I have explained some of what has gone on to you. I think a lot of you know me well enough by now that you can read between the lines. I really do hate going over the same ol' same ol'. Some things have changed or I've received some good reports. I have a new doc for my bipolar. I have only met with him once, but I really like him so far. He reminds me a lot of Dr. S who left for a private practice. My quarterly checkup for the tonsil cancer had great results - everything is looking good. No one ever did find out where all that blood was coming from, but my ENT wasn't too concerned after he checked out everything. He did tell me if it happens again to get in to see him ASAP so he might be able to tell. We also got the signed paper work from my primary doctor to be able to be eligible for some elder care and services my insurance approved for me.

For each of my Spark Buds, have a very pleasant weekend. I love you all.

Peace Love Hope

So great to hear from you! Love you manicure. I just got my hair spiked and I know what you are saying, sometimes you just do not feel like having your picture taken. Ev have you ever tried a chi machine? That is the first thing I do in the mornings, gets the blood circulating and it is the closest thing I can do for aerobic. Just let the machine do it for me. Helps me keep my spine in alignment. Great to hear you are getting great reports from your Drs. emoticon

Sounds like you have a full plate and still find time to Spark! Good on you. Also 13 years together is wonderful. Seem people just don't go to far with marriage nowadays.

It's wonderful to hear so many positive things happening, even when a few things are not going so well. Even though I am not as experience in life as you are, I fully understand the problems of holding your arms up for more than a few minutes. Many people with my genetic condition have that problem, so we tend to save the fancy hair and makeup for when it's really needed and stick to minimal or no 'primping' whenever possible. As long as you know your soul is beautiful then know that everyone else can handle if you're not putting in efforts that are beyond your current abilities.

    emoticon on 13 years together!

Glad there is so much positivity in your world right now. Like you I spout on about Sparks to practically anyone with a set of ears; people who come into the charity shop and "admire" my slim figure, the checkout girl at the supermarket, anyone I get talking to really LOL
Not at length! Not to bore! Just to give the website address and say what a positive force it's been.
