I have to laugh a bit here about my near bike-crisis today. If you haven't read my earlier blog, I have a broken bone in my foot and cannot do any fast-walking, jogging, or tae kwon do for the next two months. However, I am cleared for cycling, which was a huge relief.

However, I noticed earlier this week that my bike was spontaneously shifting into different gears, especially when going uphill. Ugh! I needed to bring the bike into the shop to get fixed. In my mind, the excuses started: Great, now I can't do anything. Time to get back on the couch and just get fat.

Nope! Brought the bike in to the shop and the guys had it adjusted in about 30 seconds. I left those excuses back in the gutter outside the bike shop and finished off a 10.4 mile ride (made all the more triumphant by the big boot on my right foot!)

So now I will plan out my workouts for the week. No excuses necessary.
