Liquid Calories and Money

Friday, August 16, 2013

My streak of not buying anything from Starbucks almost everyday because my co workers live off of it has been going so well that I treated myself to a Passion tea from Starbucks today...go figure! While standing in line today, I debated between a hot passion tea ( which is my FAVORITE) or a coffee calorie bomb that tastes amazing. Guess what? I chose the tea, not just because it was my favorite, but because it has teeny tiny calories, tastes delicious, and does not overtake my calorie range for the day.

Buying out costs a lot of money as well. I had to be honest with myself financially and say I can not afford to buy things everyday like my co workers can. I am really cracking the whip on my financial fitness. I already used my clothes budget ( got a lot for a little thanks to a sale and Buffalo Exchange- a second hand store chain in California...I have no clue if they have it else where.)

P.S- I bought these leggings..I do not care what anyone else thinks...these are beautiful and awesome. You do not need to be a tall, thin model to wear leggings, so go out and rock em'!! emoticon

(Here is the link for Forever 21 and these amazing leggings!

I am tired of stretching pennies until my next paycheck. Time to build my income, make smart choices, and stop with the eating out. Not only does it save me money, it also saves my di-...healthy lifestyle emoticon

OK, I'll advise you to spend more money, LOL. For 1 penny plus 3.99 shipping, get Suze Orman's book, the Laws of Money. I used to see her on TV years ago but never bought any of her books. I've lost a lot of money and came to theorize that it's a psychological thing. I had flashbacks of her shows that maybe the psychology thing was what she was talking about. The book is marvelous. I don't know, it may give you some ideas. Check it out if you are interested. Good luck.
P.S. Don't get turn off with details in the book that don't apply to you. Read between the lines. The psychology applies regardless of different circumstances.

I'm cutting back on Starbucks and Dutch Brothers too! I like dressing well, but like you I am cutting back and keeping myself on a budget. I'm having some of my nicer clothes altered -- much cheaper than buying new smaller sizes. emoticon

Put your daily $5 starbucks cash in a jar, at the end of the month buy yourself something that makes you feel good. This way you get a REAL gauge on ow much you spend on junk.
