Thursday, in perfect time

Thursday, August 15, 2013

I really appreciate ya'll praying for my pastor. It has been said that the Christian Army is the only one that shoots its own wounded. God bless us with compassion for the ill and the fallen, and give us the strength to lift them up again.

Today I was going to rattle on about my day when a call came in about the death of one of my leaders in BSF. She led my class the year before last after a bout with pancreatic cancer. She did not lead last year but attended faithfully. I spoke with her the last day of class. Then she was so frail and weak.

So because I have keep an email roster of each years class, I was able to email all her class members with full assurance
"She is rejoicing with the Lord today. Ella passed away yesterday.

We all will miss her terribly on this earth, but have been eternally blessed by knowing her and being led by her as she served her Lord until He called her home. Please lift her family up in prayer that they may rejoice with her. No more pain, no more tears, no doctors, no more fears. Hallelujah! Praise His Holy Name, we shall join her in a better place."

Gods timing is perfect-
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
a time to be born, and a time to die...
a time to weep, and a time to laugh
a time to mourn, and a time to dance...
Ecclesiastes 3

O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?”
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:55-58

God bless us with Your perfect timing and Victory through Your Son, Jesus Christ.

I've been close to my BSF friends over the years (more than 20 years in all), and they have been such sweet fellowship for me...I know that must be hard for you... "Absent from the body, present with the Lord"

If you ever have a chance to go volunteer at BSF Headquarters down in San Antonio, you should go. It's a great GREAT experience.
