A Little Nervous...

Thursday, August 15, 2013

I just ordered a new bathroom scale, a digital one. I'm tired of my old-style mechanical one because it doesn't seem very accurate or reliable. BUT, I'm a little nervous that when the new one comes I'll weigh a lot more than I currently THINK I weigh. I know this is very dumb, but there it is. On the up side, though, I'm getting a new scale, one that will even tell me when I've lost a fraction of a pound, so that part is cool!

I love my digital scale - and agree with WIFE48 about the tenths. When I have so much trouble losing a whole pound, the tenth of a pound lost is very encouraging!

The digital scale is an improvement for accuracy and it is encouraging to see even the smallest bit of weight loss. I followed your "secret" of planning my meals ahead of time and aiming to get the right proportions according to the pie charts. Well, what do you know, I've lost 2 lbs. this week! I've been tracking my food and then saving a PDF of the calorie count at the end of the day. I figure in a few weeks I'll have collected a good assortment of meals to use again and again.

I too have a digital scale. I love it. The mechanical ones don't show tenths lost. Sometimes it just helps to know that you have even lost one tenth to keep you going. emoticon
