This week' s 5% challenge Living the Good Life points are earning by having a good night sleep. I'm lucky because this is the week between summer camp and the first week of school. I took two vacation days from work so that Gramps and I could babysit for my 5 1/2 year old grandson on Tuesday and Wednesday.
My DDIL brought him to our house a little after 7:00 AM on her way to work. We made a fleet of green (his favorite color) paper airplanes from this awesome site: www.10paperairplanes.com
and one purple one (my favorite color) for me (he insisted).
I'm thrilled to say I was able to keep up with DGS in the Park, crawling around the woods, climbing up to the top and back down on the playground structure to retrieve the paper airplanes that GDS launched off the top over aand over again, barreling down the slide, playing tag and back home, down on the floor playing Sorry and Uno without even breathing hard. This is truly the best reason for staying fit and healthy I can think of.
Yesterday my DH and I took DGS to the San Francisco zoo. We saw every animal and walked/ran
around 6 miles (according to dear pedometer).
I haven't slept so well as I slept on Tuesday and last night in a really long time. Today back at work I feel awesome.
I am really living the good life!
