Check up at the Primary Doctor

Thursday, August 15, 2013

It seems, unlike in the old days when I went to the Doctor the family knew who I saw, now I must mention which Doctor I went to. Yesterday it was my primary Doctor who said "keep doing what you are doing"! The weight is down and so are the cholesterol numbers.

Good for you! Well done. And I bet it encourages the doc, too - must be gratifying to have a patient work hard to improve her health.

Thank you everyone for your kind words about this blog. I am blessed with good health but that is why I am on this website. I want to keep it!

Yes EmmaCory, I think I still have that big smile that I left with!

So true Josie.
I feel sorry for people who have several health issues and each Doctor subscribes a different medication which interfers with what the next Doctor subscribes.

    emoticon emoticon , MawMaw!

I know what you mean about the way doctors used to be. The days seem to be gone when a person was seen as a whole person, whose entire body worked together to affect the individual parts. Now it is just doctors who specialize in one part to the exclusion of the entire body. emoticon

Ya Hoo! It is a real bonus, these non-scale victories. Congrats by the way on the weigh-in at the docs. I lost 10 lbs last year and all my numbers went down to normal, I think it wasn't so much the weight as how I was eating healthier foods. Calories are important but so are nutrients.

You did good, keep on this path.
