wk 2 challenge blog, why i joined spark

I joined park because I needed to lose weight after ankle surgery, I cannot attend weight loss classes because steve works long hours and I have no means of getting there so I searched the web for an online weight loss programme and I found spark and I haven't looked back, I lost 3 stone in the first year and 5 years on I am still here I haven't put any weight back on because I lost the weight slowly and sensibility and steady I know the spark way works for me. I go off the rails sometimes. I just go back to basics and track my food, yes I still lose the odd pound here and there but I hardly put any eight back on

I agree that being online is so great, and especially for someone like you who finds it difficult to get to an actual meeting. emoticon and I am glad you found it and found such great success with it.     Slow and steady is the best way. If I go too fast and hard, I burn out. So glad you've had such great success!

    I agree--slow & steady is best! Sometimes it's just SO hard, tho!

emoticon on maintaining! I've heard that that is sometimes harder than losing.

    That is AWESOME that SparkPeople has worked for you over the long haul and you've successfully lost weight and MAINTAINED that loss! You're right. Losing it slowly and sensibly allows us to eat and exercise in ways we can maintain for the rest of our life.
