Shaking things up (with thanks to ICEDEMETER)

I've been see-sawing my way down the ticker for a number of months now...you know how it goes - loose a couple of pounds-gain one back- plateau for a bit - loose a couple of pounds- gain one back for weeks on end. Things have been busy so my commitment to exercise hasn't been what it should have been. I know that. I've been trying to be patient with myself about that too. But on my last blog post, Spark pal ICEDEMETER suggested that I add in something completely different to my fitness routine. (Thanks for helping me look at the issue from a different direction!)
And it hit me...I hadn't changed anything up during that whole time I was being "patient" with myself. So - for a change of pace- I went to my DVD library and pulled Jillian Michael's 30 day shred off the shelf. Haven't done that in years. It kicked my butt. And then I did the workout I had planned for the day.
Now I'm psyched to continue to work through the 30 day shred interspersed with the other things I've been doing. This new challenge has motivated me to make sure I get in that work out & to not be complacent. And it seems to be working out. So far.
I'm also starting to look again at what I'm eating and seeing how I can make more improvements there. More on that to come.
